Create a New Room for Two Girls with Existing Decor
Create a Room for Two Girls with a Can of Paint
Create a new room for Two Girls with Existing Decor. Trust me! It is hard adding a 4th child to a 4 bedroom home. That means, two children are going to have to share a room, which means, a lot of rearranging and compromising. I am always looking for a way to Save Money and Re-Use, Re-Purpose what I Already Have. So my husband and I decided we were not going to spend anymore money on more furniture, bedding, or decor. The only thing he was willing to spend money on was a can of paint. Therefore, we Created a new room for Two Girls with Existing Decor.
Paint, Re-Purpose, and Re-Arrange
This used to be our 3rd daughter’s Ladybug Nursery. When had baby #4, we decided to put daughter #2 and #3, in this same room. Daughter #2 did not want pink walls or Ladybugs. She wanted Turquoise Walls and an Owl. So we painted turquoise over the pink walls, and removed all of the Ladybug Decor. We also took out the crib and changing table and added this loft bed set, that comes with a dresser, shelves, and a desk. Daughter #1 and #2 used to have a Pink and Green Flower Bedroom, so we moved the pink and green decor into this room, since Daughter #3 loves pink and green. Their bedding was also from Daughter #1 and #2 when they had a Turquoise, Pink, and Green Butterfly room. Bringing the comforters into this room, tied all of the colors Together, Perfectly! And of course we added an owl chalkboard vinyl sticker to their wall. I also made a few decor pieces that I had laying around, that needed to be re-purposed.
