6 Cool Ways to Decorate Your Name

Do you love having your name or child’s name hanging on the walls in your home? It just makes the room more personal and a name gives a wall a great focal point, conversation piece, and Wow Factor.  Welcome! Today, we are making a Craft and Decor Tutorial. Today, I invite you into my children’s bedroom.  I love decorating my children’s bedroom with their NAME.  There’s something symbolic about having their name in their room.  Maybe, it’s the fact that having their name displayed in their room, Officially makes it their very Own.  Anywhoo, I have been making Letter Name Decor for my children’s bedrooms for a while.

Note: Some of the Letters have been used more than once.  We keep the letters and change out the look when the children get a new bedroom theme.  In order to remove the card stock just soak the letters in warm water and peel off the card stock.

Supplies:

  1. wooden letters
  2. scrapbook paper
  3. ribbon
  4. place mats or fabric
  5. fabric flowers
  6. glue gun/glue sticks
  7. Mod Podge
  8. Pencil for tracing letters onto cardstock
  9. Canvas
  10. button
  11. vinyl lettering
  12. Silhouette machine or Cricut

Tutorial:

All of these are really self explanatory.  You can see how I made each one.  The only thing I will mention is make sure you paint the letters first. And when you are tracing the card stock make sure you lay the letter face up on top of the card stock.  Then when you cut out the card stock it will be the same orientation.

6. Canvas and Vinyl Lettering with cardstock, buttons, and spray paint

This is a canvas that I spray painted red.  Then I used Scrapbook paper and Mod Podge to add more depth.  I cut out my son’s name “Ephraim” with my Cricut machine.  Finally, I used my glue gun to add some buttons.
