Paint OVER your tile with this awesome, Secret!  After all Bathrooms and Kitchens Sell Homes!  It saved us a ton of time and money!!

Hello! Welcome to another Bathroom Reveal. Today, I will show you how to paint bathroom tile.  Come into our 1972 Hallway Bathroom.  This is our fourth home (2nd Foreclosure). Don’t be Scared, it had ugly, green tile, forest green paint, and a burgundy wallpaper border.  Fortunately, it was in good condition.  We decided to find a cheap way to paint and epoxy over it.  If we chose to rip out all of the tile, and replace the walls with sheet rock, that would have cost us over $1,000 and about a week of work.  Instead, we transformed our bathroom in ONE day with only $27.

Supplies:

  1. Gripper Paint Kit or Rustoleum Tub and Tile Refinishing Kit
  2. Paint Roller
  3. Paint Tray
  4. Mask
  5. Cloth

Tutorial:

Step 1: Clean all surfaces. Lightly sand over the tile, if you can.  Use the sand paper that comes in the kit.  (We tried to sand, but our tile was too glossy, so we skipped this step.  Or you could use an electric sander).

Step 2: roll on the epoxy paint.  Make sure you are wearing a mask and eye goggles.  Also, the bathroom needs to be ventilated, by opening the windows or turning on the bathroom fan.

Step 3: Let dry 48 hours.  You can do a second coat after the first coat dries.

Step 4: Spray the clear polyacrylic adhesive.
